Man the law suits we had back then. At the end the Judges , Attorney's , ASCAP, BMI, and even the RIAA we were all laughing our butts off. The digital millennium copyright act of 1998 a year later had not even been written yet. We were breaking laws that had not even put in the Law books yet so I got to talk to the big boys and help out with my input as well back then to. It has been a lot of fun. Thanks for the fun. Dade

I have heard the most wildest and made up stories since day one from people all over the world about who was first on the internet and where the name came from. Well I called a rocket scientist and he filled me in. LOL. Not really I was there. The first Angel Fire site is for sure not who many of you think it was. It was AngelFireNM.Com standing for the beautiful Village of Angel Fire, Nm, home of the world famous Four Season Resort Angel Fire (AKA) the Angel Fire Resort and one of the most fun places to ever visit in the summer and winter. The original AngelFireNM.Com owners who we knew in fact built the first web site for the Angel Fire Resort. Then later came and you guessed it? AngelFire.Com. It was not used for what you think again but to sell a condo in Angel Fire, NM. After it sold the owner let it go. Then two guys in Texas got a wild hair and yep it is famous today. AngelFire.Com Free Home pages and web hosting. Not knowing how hard the server would get hit from people falling in love with it the server started crashing day and night from over load. The first site had a yellow background on it with a Red AngelFire logo on it. They had medical transcripts on the front for veterans ect. Proof of the crashes, Again, Yes we were there. Angel Fire Radio had a page on AngelFire.Com and kept crashing and we had to move off fast. It was later sold to WhoWhere.Com then sold again to Lycos.Com and today a heavy hitter when it comes to web hosting and a great place to host your web page at a really good price. Wild stories even today where they got the name from. LOL again, Hint, The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is located in Angel Fire , Nm. Not a year goes by that some attorney calls me and I tell him the names and services are registered and protected and none of above want to buy some url close to the name for a trillion dollars and to go away please. Funny today in the year 2020 but was not in the 1990’s in the beginning of the internet (AKA) the World Wide Web.
